{Photog} They're Here!... Pumpkin Patch Mini Sessions

Bring your little punkin-wunkin (big or little) out to the punkin, I mean, pumpkin patch beginning October for the traditional Pumpkin Patch Portraits. And by traditional, I mean my usual fun, candid, at times off the wall style. Can you carry a pumpkin on your head? How many pumpkins can you jump over? Peter Piper picked a peck of punkin-wunkins. How many punkin-wunkins can you catch? These 20 minute mini sessions are for individuals and families (immediate members only, and sorry, Ruff and Kitty-Kitty are not allowed). Sign up fast, there are only 4 available at the Flower Mound location, and 6 at the Dallas Arboretum location!

E-mail me at TheBirdandTheBee@sbcglobal.net or message me on FaceBook at The Bird and the Bee Creations to reserve your spot.

*Dallas Arboretum does charge an entrance fee that is not included. Flower Mound is free admittance.

{Photog} Twice the "Higs" and Kisses

Oh, how I love twins! And these two were no exception. Twice the lips and fingers and toes and chunky little thighs! Nice work, mom and dad. These perfect little angels did great for their debut, and were so cuddly and sweet and huggable. The best part is, they're my neighbors, so I get to hold them anytime I want. :)

{Photog} A Girl Who's Going Places

This is Abby. While still young and not having thought much about life-in-the-long-run, this is a girl who's going some where. Obviously, that's why we chose air and water for our portraits- how else is she going to get there? (eye roll, sigh) Duh. (and the fact that I've always wanted to shoot at an airfield- How exciting!, and my Anthropologie catalog shot in Taiwan totally inspired me to find a dock) Between her grand ideas and her mother's creativity, I'm sure she will cure cancer one day, in an oh-did-I-do-that sort of way, an "I wear flats, not heels" kind of way, a "let's go lay in the sun and think about how to cure cancer" kind of way. Until then, you keep wearing those aviators and lookin' all tall and super modelish. (This blog post was totally inspired by the teenage girl within us all.)

{Photog} The Girl Club

This sweet family, we've known since our fond days at Crockett Jr. High (long before they were a family), just had their 5th girl! And, of course, she's no less precious than the rest. Being in a room with that much girl power makes you want to break out into the chorus of Put Your Records On (you thought I was going to say Natural Woman, didn't you, but that might make me old), let your hair down, and giggle about a boy. I grew up with 2 sisters and a mom, but I can't imagine having 2 more in the club! Oh the benefits! Back to the beautiful new one... Look at those toes! And those lips! Clint, I'm sure you've heard it before, but you'd better start polishing your guns now. Or maybe get a really big stick. Or maybe get that car from Back to the Future, but go into the future and work this all out for yourself and your girls. Girls, be sweet to your highly out-numbered daddy. Anyhow, welcome to the world, sweet little one. Enjoy your girl club and all its girly benefits!

{Print} Note Cards for All

It's that time of year again! Time to stock up on blue jeans, pencils, and notepads. Fall is, well, almost in the air, and I can hear the school bells ringing, or dinging, or whatever they do now. As a teacher, my most favorite gift was always stationary. Do you have any idea how many notes a teacher writes in one year? Thank you notes, encouraging notes, notes about Johnny cutting Suzie's hair... Well, that one might not be in a pretty card.
These note cards are sure to be her best accessory this year (and make all the other teachers jealous she has your child in her class). Surprise her at Meet the Teacher! Wow her on the first day! Remind her throughout the year that your thankful she's molding your child into the smartest little person ever!
And don't forget all the notes your student will want to pass... They might as well do it in style with their own note cards and flat cards! Surprise them in their back pack on the first day of school! Smuggle one with a special note into their lunch! Sneak into the school extra early and slip one into their locker (okay, that might be a little too far)!
Personalized Flat Cards.....10 for $15
Personalized Folded Cards.....10 for $20
E-mail TheBirdandTheBee@sbcglobal.net for orders, or check us out on Etsy!

{Photog} All Boys (and One Hot Momma)

This... is one of my favorite familes. I know I might say that a lot, but really. Just look at the mischief and wonder in their eyes (even mom!). This is a fun (and funny) family, and not to mention good lookin' (that's one hot momma!). I love to be around them, and I adored taking their pictures. Welcome newest fun (and funny) member to the most amazing family you'll ever know! Thanks for letting me snap a few of your precious moments.

{Photog} The Piwetz Family

{Photog} Dr. Pepper Mini's Part 2 of 2

Our second and final mini-session at the Dr. Pepper wall! The more the merrier, and even more when there's a 2 year old to entertain! I have no doubt the people driving by were jealous of our roaring Rex and silly wiggle dances. Oh, the things we do for smiles- but didn't they turn out great!?!?!? I love photographing this family (you can see more of them here). The oldest is such a natural (and look at that skin!!!- wish I could put it in a bottle), and the youngest is a hoot and has the best smiles and I just want to squeeze and kiss her cheeks! It always makes me happy when they're on the calendar. And, a special thanks to my tall friend, Audrey (another of my favorite families to photograph), for playing shade tree for me and tag partner for little E. :)
